A Brief History:
Living Faith Lutheran Church was formed by a group of Christians who wanted to return to a biblical approach to Lutheranism. Our first worship service was held on January 15, 2011 at the Lincoln School on Philadelphia Avenue in Boyertown. Pastors from the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations, along with and area clergy who believed in our mission, lead our services until November 17, 2012. At that time, our prayers were answered when Pastor David and Vicki Johnson, along with their daughter Esther, accepted our call to lead our congregation forward..
Why Another Lutheran Church?
We believe that Living Faith Lutheran Church, affiliated with the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations (AFLC), is fundamentally different from many, or even most of the Lutheran Churches in our area. We believe and teach that the Christian Bible is God's Word to the world for all times. We don't want to take anything from it or add anything to it. We desire to hold fast to that truth which was taught and believed by those who have gone before us: the Apostles, Martin Luther and Henry Melchior Muhlenberg. We long to be faithful to God's Word, a living message of righteousness, hope, and transformation passed down from the early church into modern times.
